I’ve decided to step away from this for a few key reasons.
First, the market is oversaturated. It feels like everyone is trying to sell their expertise, and honestly, it’s hard to stand out. It’s like we’re all just copies of copies at this point. I didn’t start this to chase fame or "make a name" for myself—I simply wanted to teach a few things and make a little extra cash. But let’s be real, plenty of people are already writing about the same topics I am, and that’s fine.
Second, I’ve realized I wasn’t being completely honest with myself about what I want to write publicly. I chose topics based on what I thought would be the most lucrative, not what I’m genuinely passionate about.
Third, I’ve been holding back parts of my personality to appeal to a wider audience in the pursuit of money. Let me tell you, that’s one of the worst things a writer can do. Writing without authenticity? It doesn’t work for me, and it never will.
There are other reasons, but those are the big ones. This doesn’t mean I’m done writing—far from it. I’ll just be shifting focus to topics that matter deeply to me: politics, conservatism, my faith in Jesus Christ, survival skills, my military experiences, and anything else that feels meaningful to me. These are the kinds of things I’ve written about in the past that felt fulfilling, and it’s time I return to them.
I’m not interested in being part of the hustle culture. My motivations don’t revolve around chasing endless streams of income. I’ll be starting something new in early 2025, and I’ll bring anyone on my current email list along for the ride—if they want to come.
That said, I want to be upfront about where I stand:
I am a Trump supporter.
I voted for him and believe in his policies for the United States.
I firmly believe the United States of America is the greatest nation on Earth.
I also believe Christ is King.
And I think most Democrats are brainwashed into repeating talking points instead of seeking out facts.
If any of that offends you, no hard feelings—feel free to unsubscribe now. But if you love God, love this country, and love freedom, I’d be honored to have you stick around. I’d love to share my thoughts with you and hear yours in return.
To everyone who has taken the time to read my work: thank you. I truly appreciate your support, and I hope to see some of you on this next chapter.
Hi Joe. Want to tell you that I've learned a lot from you and I'm excited for you as you take your new direction! Thanks for all of the sage advice this past year.
Setting aside any beliefs or diffferences, what matters most is authenticity.
That's what I seek and that's what I like to see in others, Joe.
People need to accept the differences and respect those who have different opinions and ways to see the world. It's all about mutual respect and dialogue.
I'll keep tagging along in your journey Joe.
