Hey Joe, I love this article! It pretty much sums up how I’ve been writing my own articles the past few years. I love the minimalistic approach because it enhances readability, as you stated, and it’s also easier to write consistently! A lot of my articles are 500 words or less. I also love how you formatted this article as well (very minimalistic with the bullet points👌). I’m loving the message of your newsletter. Just subscribed! :)
I've been on a slow journey to apply the minimalist mindset to my life for several years now, partially in an attempt to decrease PTSD driven anxiety, partially just because I like simplicity.
It just made sense to me at some point to apply that thinking to my writing as well. I tend to do my online postings in a minimalist fashion, and allow my long-form work to go into deeper studies in my books, but even they remain fairly short!
I think there's a lot to be said by making more with less.
Hey Joe, that's a great point! I guess you can say I've also applied a more minimalistic lifestyle because of the anxiety I used to have when I was working a 9-5 job. It really helped me focus on what's important in life rather than worrying so much about minor things. Thank you so much for posting this! Keep up the great work! :)
Minimalist content creation is a great way to get started and break through that mental barrier that often happens when we evolve from content consumer to creator. It reduces the friction. For me I'm finding that the frequency part is key. By forcing myself to publish more, I'm breaking down the wall in my brain that tells me every post has to be some perfect work of genius.
Based on my own experience, I found way too often I tried to overcomplicate things. That overcomplication made it complicated to understand or enjoy. When I simplified the process, simplified the message, and simplified the creation it all came together for me.

Thanks, Khadejah!
